Mohammad Rizwan offered prayers on the field during the ICC World Cup 2023 game against England at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The two teams are clashing with each other in their last league game, which is also the 44th game of the tournament.

Mohammad Rizwan was seen offering prayers during the drinks break. What caught the attention of many was even though music was going on, he continued doing the worship. The video of his offering the Nimaz went viral on the internet. Here’s the video:

This was, however, not the first time Mohammad Rizwan was seen offering the prayers. The keeper-batter often has been spotted doing his religious duties during the game. He has been under scrutiny several times for this as well and many have raised issues over him doing prayers during the matches.

Coming to the game, Mohammad Rizwan didn’t have a great outing with the bat. He was back in the hut for just 36. He was castled by Moeen Ali. Pakistan are under pressure against England. They are set a target of 338 runs and they didn’t start well.

Abdullah Shafique bagged a two-ball duck and after that, Fakhar Zaman perished early too. Skipper Babar Azam (38) tried to get going but he was back in the hut after a good start. The onus will now be on Agha Salman and Shadab Khan to take the team close to target. Saud Shakeel (38) looked good but perished after vital start.
