Former India National Cricket Team all-rounder Irfan Pathan brutally mocked Pakistan after the group stage exit of the Babar Azam & Co. in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Irfan Pathan has often been seen trolling Padosi (neighbor) after the poor performances of the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The Men In Green didn’t perform as per expectations in the ongoing edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup and gave many opportunities to the former India cricketer to fire shots at the team.
Irfan Pathan was also seen dancing with the star leg-spinner Rashid Khan after Afghanistan pulled off a stunning victory over Pakistan in the marquee tournament. This didn’t go down well with a section of Pakistan fans and experts, who bashed Irfan Pathan for celebrating the defeat of the Men In Green.
Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal was one of the experts who slammed Irfan, saying that he was absolutely surprised to see the cricketer-turned-commentator dance after Pakistan’s loss. He had said:
“I was surprised to see Irfan Pathan dance after Afghanistan beat Pakistan. When India beat Pakistan in Australia last year, that time also this kind of happiness was not seen.”
“It was sad to see, not just for me, but for the nation. The broadcasters should make sure commentators are neural.”
The former India all-rounder was also seen sharing a few more dance clips on his official social media handles after the victories of the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan in the competition.

Irfan Pathan got the opportunity to respond to the criticism he faced for the dance after the Babar Azam-led side were hammered by England in their last group-stage game. He took to X to target ex-Pakistan cricketers by posting lyrics of a famous Indian song.

Meanwhile, the last group stage game of Pakistan was held at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, November 11. Bowling first, they ended up conceding 337 runs. Chasing the target, the Pakistan batters just couldn’t get going and they faced a humiliating 93-run loss. Also, they have been eliminated from the competition.
