Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq is known for making bizarre and crass remarks from time to time, and he was at it again during a recent event. From calling Jasprit Bumrah a ‘baby bowler’ to openly mocking Hardik Pandya, the Pakistan great rarely misses an opportunity to grab the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

In the latest turn of events, Abdul Razzaq ended up making a vulgar comment for actress Aishwarya Rai. He recently attended an event with some of his former teammates. During the event, the former cricketers talked about the reasons behind Pakistan cricket’s poor displays in recent times.

Pakistan recently crashed out of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 after failing to qualify for the semifinals. The Men in Green have not made it to the semifinals of an ODI World Cup since 2011. They have also not won a World Cup in any format since Younis Khan led them to a historic title in the 2009 T20 World Cup in England.

In the ongoing tournament, the Babar Azam-led finished at the fifth spot after managing only 4 wins from 9 games. They began their campaign with 2 wins before suffering four defeats in a row. The poor run pretty much derailed their campaign. Even though they won two more matches, the 1992 World Cup winners were never really in contention to progress to the semifinals.

Abdul Razzaq’s shameful remark:

During a media interaction, Abdul Razzaq used a shocking example to express his disappointment with the perceived lack of ‘good intention’ in Pakistan cricket. In an attempt to clarify his point, the former cricketer made an utterly shameful statement about Aishwarya Rai. The likes of Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul and few other former cricketers’ reaction was also surprising as they were seen laughing and clapping.

“Younis Khan had a good intention as a captain and it gave me confidence to perform better. Everyone over here is taking about the intention and Pakistan’s team. Actually, we don’t have good intention to develop and polish players in Pakistan. If you think that by marrying Aishwarya Rai, a good and pious kid would be born, it would never happen,” he said.
