Indian captain Rohit Sharma yet again had a decent outing in the ICC World Cup 2023. The opening batter continued his aggressive style of play even in the final against Australia at the buzzing Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Rohit Sharma after getting a feel of the pitch took attack to the Australian bowlers and made sure that he took his team off the flyer. The Indian captain looked unfazed by the wicket of Shubman Gill at the other end and continued attacking even after he lost his partner.

Rohit Sharma smashed every bowler he faced and was looking dangerous. But his stay at the crease was cut short brilliance of Travis Head on the field. The Australian batter took a blinder in the field and it’s fair to say that an effort like that was needed to dismiss the Indian skipper who looked threatening.

Rohit Sharma tried to hit flighted delivery angling away from Glenn Maxwell out of the park. He didn’t have a great connection and ended up slicing it high. Travis Head ran back from the cover and put in a full stretch dive and grabbed it inches from the ground.
